ENDEMIK started its activities in the field of health in 1989. It was founded by the staff of the Research Laboratory of the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Vilnius, headed by a Habilitated Doctor of Medicine, Professor Leontius Motiejunas, Professor at the New York Academy of Sciences. The said laboratory team first discovered in Lithuania and examined various tick-borne encephalitis, Laima`s disease, and other natural focal infections in various aspects. The National Science Prize of the Republic of Lithuania was awarded for this work, therefore, special attention was paid to the diseases transmitted to ticks at the initial stage of the ENDEMIK operation.As the company grew, the fields of activity grew and expanded, and today, ENDEMIK is a medical clinic operating in Lithuania, specializing in disease prevention, diagnostic research and immunoprophylaxis.The ENDEMIK Family and Consultation Center is based in Vilnius, at Savanoriu pr. 6A. Other ENDEMIK Medical Clinics are located in Kaunas, Klaipėda, Šiauliai, Panevėžys and Alytus.
